I am writing at the request of EKA Ltd (Building Services Division), to express our full satisfaction with the HIROSS Flexible Space System.

Since August 1998, the system has performed very well both during summer and wintertime. The working environment in our offices is always pleasant and although 80% of the total floor area is an open plan office area, we are always able to control temperatures according to the individuals' requirements.

It is the Flexibility of the system. however, that saved us both time and money. Whenever we had to move or add a new desk in the space, we could easily do that in a matter of few minutes, relocating also the grills for the air conditioning as well as all the electrical and data services.

We are writing to express our satisfaction with the HIROSS Flexible Space System.

The selection of the appropriate air conditioning system for our new office building was based on three important parameters: a) Indoor Air Quality, b) Flexibility and c) Running Cost. Four months after final commissioning, the HIR0SS system has fulfilled our expectations. The temperatures are easily controlled in all individual offices while the fresh air supply and the control of the relative humidity offers an excellent and pleasant working environment.

Last minute desk layout presented no problem, as fantiles and grills were easily movable to accommodate any changes.

This flexibility certainly saves time and money, and provides for a happy working environment.

We would have no hesitation in recommending not only the HIROSS Flexible Space System but the whole package for Intelligent Buildings offered by EKA Ltd.

The use of the raised floor provides the user with endless flexibility in adjusting to new technologies.

We are writing to express our full satisfaction with the Flexible Systems for Modern Offices that EKP Ltd, (Building Services Division) offers and especially with the HIROSS Flexible Space Air Conditioning System.

The whole concept of Raised Access Floor helped us to complete the construction of our new office in record time while even after their completion and for the last two years, we were able to relocate and modify our office layout according to our revised needs. Since September 1997 we undertook two major changes in our offices by relocating demountable partitions and changing specific areas from cellular offices to open plan areas. These changes were done during week-ends without disturbing our personnel during normal working hours. We were also absolutely amazed by the flexibility of the HIROSS air condilioning system, which was changed in order to suit our new requirements in less than one hour. We need to point out also that a number of minor changes like relocating or moving a desk or adding a new desk in an office we are able to do that ourselves without the help from skilled personnel.

Having experienced. for the last two years, the quality of air that the HIROSS air conditioning system offers, we have to admit that it can not be compared with the commonly used A/C systems which continuously recycle and condition the air in the space. The presence of fresh air is noticeable while also humidity is constantly kept at a comfortable level. Moreover the Flexible Space System helped us overcame a very serious problem we had with disputes between smokers and non-smokers in our office. We simply located smokers over the return air zone and non-smokers over the supply air zone. By doing so we force the cigarette smoke away from the non-smokers and inside the void under the raised floor.

The running cost of the system was proved to be within very sensible limits, despite our initial fears. Especially during Springtime and Autumn, the chiller is very rarely required to be ON. We simply let fresh air inside the plenum of the raised floor, which mixes up with the recycled air and is being delivered to the whole floor area through the CAM Units. Moreover we apply the same concept during Summer period. Early in the morning and late in the evening, when the outside temperatures are much lower than the temperatures during the day, we cool the concrete slab down by bringing fresh cool air in and thus our system requires less time and thus energy to condition the space.

In view of the above advantages the Flexible Space System offers, we would strongly recommend it especially for modem building with raised access floor.
