London Refurbishments

The refurbishment market in London continues to lead trends in commercial office construction. Under Floor Air Conditioning technology has a major advantage over traditional ceiling based HVAC systems due to its capability to overcome height restrictions in older building stock. The recently completed 20 Cannon Street and 76-88 Wardour Street both adopted AET Flexible Space UFAC technology and have retained building height and historical features as a result.  By utilising the floor plenum as the ventilation duct, and especially with the introduction of our latest slimline fantile unit with EC fan technology, such projects have been able to overcome major engineering challenges, upgrade building services to the highest specification whilst maintaining recommended floor to ceiling heights with minimal energy consumption.

Gold for Majid Al Futtaim Tower 2

Incorporating AET Flexible Space Under Floor Air Conditioning, the Majid Al Futtaim Tower 2 in Dubai has become the first building in the UAE to achieve a Gold rating for LEED EBOM.  In order to achieve this rating, the owners focused on managing resources and operations and this award clearly demonstrates the long term benefits of being sustainable.  Part of the requirement of the LEED EBOM assessment was an Occupant Comfort Survey undertaken which highlighted the user satisfaction of the UFAC system in the building.  Commenting on the system, Majid Al Futtaim Properties quoted “We would definitely recommend the Flexible Space Underfloor HVAC system for any modern office building requiring flexibility and true sustainability.”
