PRESS RELEASE 4th December 1998
AET fit bill in Bilboa
Over 16,00m2 of the Movinord 82 demountable partitioning system is currently being used at the Cruces Hospital in Bilbao. The value of the partitioning is in excess of $1.6m and application areas include surgery rooms, intensive care facilities, radiology units and reception rooms and X-ray units.
The most striking use of the partitioning is in a facility for burns patients and a children’s extra care unit where innovative treatments include music therapy. The Movinord system was specified by Osakidetza (the Basque Health Service) on the grounds of easy access to the internal parts of the partition where tubes, cables, wiring and pipes can be concealed within easy reach. The aesthetic possibilities of the system are illustrated in the 1400m2 installation in the children’s extra care unit. (pictured) Advanced Ergonomic Technologies (AET) have recently been appointed sole distributor in the UK and Ireland by Movinord s.a. for their demountable partitioning products.
A unique, patented steel-splice profile and joint is a feature which contributes to the ‘demountability’ and quality of finish. All components are manufactured in-house at Movinord’s factory in Pamplona which helps to maintain quality of components and build. Movinord components are formaldehyde free and ‘offgassing’ does not occur. This is a crucial consideration for applications such as a children’s ward. Movinord are the largest manufacturer of partitioning in Europe and produce in excess of 600,000m2 per year. There is a wide colour range for both panels and metallic parts and clients can specify exact shades using RAL codes if required. Notes to editor A Movinord showroom has been established at First Point, Gatwick Airport as part of a working environment. Please contact AET to arrange a site visit. |
