20 Cannon Street – AET Flexible Space

20 Cannon Street

London, UK

This property occupies a prominent island site with outstanding views of St Paul’s Cathedral.  The building was extensively redeveloped, stripped back to it’s original 1960’s shell and core, and re-cladded with floor to ceiling glazing.  The completed refurbishment created 40,000 sq ft of high specification office space which was fully let to a single occupier prior to practical completion

  • Developer – Allied London
  • Architect – Denton Corker Marshall
  • Consultant – Mott MacDonald

Awarded BREEAM “Excellent status and EPC ‘B’ Rating

By incorporating under floor air conditioning, instead of more traditional ceiling based systems, a floor to ceiling height of 2500 mm within an overall slab to soffit zone of 2800 mm was achieved.  The air terminals installed were slimline fantiles incorporating new EC Fan technology

“AET’s Flexible Space was the system of first choice for this project”, comments Stuart Lyell of Allied London. “It meets not only the flexibility demanded for modern city work space but also satisfies many sustainability and energy demands imposed by legislation and socially responsible corporations”
