2008 New Build

Leading retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is awarded the LEED EBOM Gold rating by the United States Green Building Council for the head office building in Dubai. The building’s environmental impact was assessed at the end of 2013 and compared with the baseline rating in 2009. The MAF Tower 2 exceeded the LEED EBOM requirements in a number of key areas; notably the reduction in water consumption, energy efficiency and increased waste recycling. In the Occupant Comfort Survey Report required by LEED Existing Buildings, the majority of the 79% of occupants who responded were satisfied with the system.

The building is served by 45 zones of underfloor air conditioning equipment and is the first building in the UAE to be LEED EBOM Gold rated.
